Yesterday I headed down to Dengemarsh in the late afternoon. I was hoping to get a break in the clouds and be ready to accept the gift of a perfect sunset, but instead, the clouds intensified and the winds picked up. It was beautiful in itself.
I really love heading out to lesser known local locations like this. It really is a godforsaken place, on the edge of a military firing zone, surrounded by miles of shingle, and in the shadow of the nuclear power station at Dungeness, but there's a real stark beauty to be found, and a starkness that appeals to my minimal sensibilities :)
